Sticky Campus Partner Organisation Let's Create an Amazing Space For over thirty years we've been designing seats to complement an array of venues in the auditorium, cinema, education and sports sectors. The desire to be our client's partner of choice is at the forefront of our philosophy. And is reflected in our commitment to friendly, professional customer service and unwavering attention to detail. We love to talk design.  Aesthetics.  Solutions and functionality. This is our passion.  It runs through our company. We live by the belief that nothing is impossible.  We're here to inspire you.  To help you create a venue that in turn inspires and entertains your audience.   Physical, Digital, and highly-strategical Campus Asset Innovation Brand new for 2017 from Ferco is their innovative Collaborative Wave – purposely designed to allow large spaces to also act as small spaces and provide the peer-to-peer and tutor-to-peer engagements without students losing time on task by having to move elsewhere.   If you want a large cohort to face the front, every student has their own individual flexible seat that swivels to ensure they are facing the right way all the time.  Students are arranged in pods of five throughout the space, and each group pod is designed so that all students can see and hear each other – both of which are essential for high performance collaborative learning.  Another benefit for students over many existing solutions, is that the Collaborative Wave provides students with a much larger working surface.  For estates departments and Timetablers, the Collaborative Wave better retains the original capacities of the space when configured with traditional rows of individual fixed seating.   And for everyone’s benefit, many different groups of students can use the Collaborative Wave pods to carry on their team-based activities during evenings and weekends.  Students get access to productive spaces and estates get a greater utilisation from their campus asset.     But more than just complying with legislation as a result of the reduction in Disabled Student Allowances placing the requirement to support the needs of students on individual education providers, the Collaborative Wave equips universities and colleges with an opportunity to expand inclusivity in their learning and teaching provision, better supporting those from a wider range of backgrounds and circumstances to succeed at higher levels of education. Universities have the power to transform lives for all their students, but success will only happen if practices that empower inclusive learning for all students are planned through strategic developments, and with leadership support to embed them across the campus at every stage of curriculum development and student engagement.   It has to become part of campus identity and culture. Learning spaces, and the furniture and technology that configure them, dictate the pedagogical and social interactions that can take place within them, and the Collaborative Wave provides the foundations for innovations in curriculum design and delivery that promote inclusivity both during taught hours, and for self-directed group learning for those inspired to achieve their best.   The good news is that inclusive developments, such as the Collaborative Wave, not only support those students for whom adjustments are necessary, but they also improve the experience and facilities for all students – which should be a wave that everyone wants to catch! About Ferco Seating Founded in 1983 by current CEO Tim Barr, Ferco Seating has established a reputation for providing high quality customised seating solutions for any venue.  From humble beginnings supplying stadium seating we have grown into one of the world’s largest manufacturers of auditorium, cinema, education and sports spectator seating.  Today, Ferco Seating is an international company headquartered in the UK with regional operations centres in Singapore, manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, and a network of agents in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim.  Our merger with the Kotobuki group in 2016 confirmed our position as part of the largest seating company in the world. At Ferco Seating we love to collaborate. We love to talk design, aesthetics, solutions and functionality.   We’re honoured to have worked with some of the most highly respected architects on ground breaking and prestigious projects in universities, cinemas, stadiums and theatres across the globe. People go to venues to be entertained. To be carried away by stories. To collaborate and to learn. The right space can create immersive experiences. It can also generate world-changing ideas. That's why we're so passionate about designing the seating that fills these spaces.
