Collaborative digital technologies are influencing campus-wide strategies that put students at the heart of new learning methodologies, positively enhancing the student experience, influencing student recruitment and retention, and critically raising student levels of academic attainment.

Can the corporate world learn from higher education?

Companies are expected to innovate business improvements at a rate much faster than ever before. Meetings are opportunities for collaboration and the co-creation that foster innovation. Workplaces require a fusion of design, furniture and technology that co-exist to drive forward collaboration; and not to inhibit it.

Yes it can!

Technical furniture and wireless technology are only part of the solution.  Higher Education is undergoing a culture change that puts the student at the centre of all learning activities, which don’t just take place in lecture halls and classrooms, but right across the campus in social spaces, libraries, and coffee shops. Not only do academic results improve, but tasked to work in small groups collaboratively develops problem solving, critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills; the same skills that you want new graduates and your own staff to possess so continuous business improvement strategies and outcomes can be developed.  We all know what happens to businesses that don’t innovate and more forwards. And if space utilisation is important to your business, you’ll want to learn how these new spaces - including new lecture spaces - are used more extensively than ever before.

And it’s not just about meeting rooms……

Your Corporate Training Rooms can now deliver the same deeper understand that comes from working collaboratively in small groups. And when not being  used for training, these spaces can transform into small event spaces, or even individual collaborative meeting hubs, without the need to rearrange furniture or re- configure technology. Could your company advance the effectiveness of its training from having active learning rooms that enable hands-on experiential models, critical thinking, and real- life simulations that directly connect training to the highly digital world of work? And what if you could record your collaborations for review or to meeting compliance regulations?
